Overview
The Page Break macro will sound very familiar to most of us. Its works by any content below its jumps it onto the next pages. The uses for this are when printing a page if content is going to overflow onto the next page and you would like it to be all displayed on one Page then using a page break will solve this problem. When using the the Eigen print page to PDF or Email Page to PDF features this is when the page break macro will come into use. You may find you want to split content onto to pages and the Page Break is how you do it. Using the template macro to create reports also uses the PDF functionality so its a macro thats widely used in the platform.
Using a Page Break
- Add the page break at the top fo the section you want to break onto the next page
To use the macro there a few things we need to consider:
- where do we want to split the page
- how have you laid your page out .- Page Layout
Placing a Page break into your page will break any content below it.
If you have used multiple sections in your page like above. Then everything with in the section will be broken on a new page.
If the page break was placed below the chart macro in the above image. it would have no affect on the content in the sections below.
