Subscribing to report feed

In order to be able to view the reports from a given category in the Eigen Ingenuity mobile app, or receive e-mail notifications containing new reports, user needs to subscribe for report category.

Report subscription form can be open by clicking the "Report Subscription" button located under the "Settings" menu.

You can subscribe to any type of report that is currently present in the system.

In order to add or edit subscriptions for given report category, you need to select the category using the select box on the top.

There are two types of notifications currently available in the system:

• email: receive an e-mail message with report file as an attachment to given e-mail address,
• mobile: receive push notification to the mobile phone (via Eigen Ingenuity mobile app).

When the subscription is enabled, user will receive notifications (e-mails, push notifications) when a new report is uploaded to the system.
When the subscription is disabled, user will be able to browse the report list and view reports on his device, but will not receive push notifications.

Every subscription modification can be saved using the Save icon or reverted using the cross icon.

In Mobile Manager

Report subscriptions can be also configured from the Mobile Manager on the "Reports" tab, under the "Configure subscriptions" option.

The configuration window in the Mobile Manager is simplified to present only the mobile subscriptions of the currently logged in user.
You can choose whether to show the reports from certain categories in the Mobile App. If the report category is selected to be shown in the app, you can optionally subscribe for the push notifications.

Legacy report mailing system

The report recipient list from the report template settings and the "Create and email" button is still fully functional and will remain as a legacy feature.
The plan is to gradually move the recipients from that form to the new Subscription Manager and then replace the frontend to point to the new subscriptions list.

At the moment, the e-mail messages will be sent to both the e-mail addresses on the recipients list and the ones that are subscribed to the category of the newly created report.

Viewing reports in the Mobile App

To be able to view the reports in the Mobile App, you need to subscribe for desired report categories using the report subscription form.

The reports tab is available from the version v0.8.0 of the Eigen Ingenuity app. If you don't see it on your phone, make sure that you have the latest version of the app installed on your device.

The reports that are available for download, are displayed in grey with a grey status icon on the right.
When you want to open the file, you need to click on the report name and the download process will start (the report name and the icon will start blinking)

When the download process is finished, the report name is presented in white and there's a report file icon on the right.
You can now click on the report name to open the report file. The reports that have not yet been opened are shown in bold and their count is shown on a badge next to the reports tab icon.

Configuring reports view

Under Settings → Reports you can find some configuration options for the Reports tab.

Currently you can set up the following options:

• Automatically download files: when a new report becomes available, it is automatically downloaded to your phone. Note that it may have an impact on mobile data consumption and your battery lifetime.
• Stored files: by clicking the "Clear all" button, you can clean up space on your device that is taken by the downloaded report files.
• Limit shown reports: by setting the number below, you can control how many recent reports will be displayed on your screen.
