If you want to test a new calculation or just share a specific trend this is the place to do it.

What is the Temporary Space?

The Temporary space is a space in which temporary pages can be created and shared amongst the team. in you application. It works in conjunction with the Eigen Macros.

Certain Eigen Macros Certain Eigen macro's will have a share icon and a create page icon on top of the configure settings menu when in edit mode. 

Both perform the same function

Share Page

Create Page

This a temporary space for you the users can do on the fly analysis and work.

Across all the eigen macros there will be a create page icon and a share icon. Both these links will create a page with in Using these features temporary pages will be created from pre configured Eigen Macros templates copying the macro you have selected onto a new page into the temporary space.

If you want to test a new calculation or just share a specific trend this is the place to do it. Benefits of using the temporary space to make changes to macros on pages is  if you only have access to read and not edit a page. With this feature you will be able to make visual or calculation changes still the the macros. which allows you to test a new calculation or try a new lay out.

Using the share icon this will also

Where you can edit or even share just an individual macro. 

Once the page is created it will be saved into the temporary space so that it can be accessible at all times. 

You can edit and add content to a temporary page just like any other page.


Share Page

  • Share Page will create a page in the temporary space but its mainly used for creating a page in the temporary space then sharing the link of that page with colleges. The page will save permanently in the temporary space and can be shared amongst the team.

Create Page

  • Create Page will create a page using the a template. Using its own predefined styling and lay out settings.


Tip

Trending The Basket

  • You can create a temporary page from the chart macro after you trend the basket so its not just pre configured page content.


Tip

You want to test a new layout in a macro or want to test/add a new calculation.

  1. Use the create page icon to create page. 
  2. On the Created page you can test out any changes you want to make with out having the worry about changing a production page.
  3. If you don't have permissions to save changes then this is another way to making test changes.
  4. Copy the Config code from the temporary macro to the production macro to make the final change.

  • Once you have created something you can move it to you personal space where it will be easily accessible for you to work on.
